East Fairy Tales By Salman Rushdie

A new book of the owner of the Booker Prize and Chevalier of the French Order of Arts is most similar to the interpretation of the famous collection of fairy tales “Thousand and One Nights.” A mixture of reality and fiction, political satire and magic, the traditional form of the novel and the color of the Eastern myths: all were merged into a single harmonious composition. This is not surprising: Salman Rushdie is one of the few living writers, whose authority and skill is difficult to question. It is read by the intellectuals, and just by lovers of good literature.
