The Anti-Corruption Committee of Saudi Arabia arrested 11 princes, several ministers and 38 former government members. The detainees were placed in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Riyadh, the capital of the country. The hotel guests were ordered to collect things and move out, after which they placed the defendants of the anti-corruption case and the guards. The government of Saudi Arabia said that such high-ranking people could not be sent to prison – it’s “too humiliating.” Therefore, a luxury hotel with 492 rooms, several restaurants, swimming pools and entertainment rooms for a while turned into a “golden cage”.
